Daniel Nowack is Managing Director at Yunus Social Business (YSB), a philanthropic venture fund for social businesses in LATAM, Africa and India, co-founded by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus. Daniel works with corporate partners to inspire purpose-driven innovation and transformation of value chains through social business initiatives. Together with partners such as Vodafone, IKEA or Merck, Daniel and his team develop impact programs and ventures to support the corporate journey towards tangible and authentic purpose transformation. Through various roles in startups and the impact ecosystem, Daniel connects the dots between science fiction and social fiction. He is a former CFO to various startups, a Senior Partner at the innovation agency Lumen Partners, PMO Lead for the World Economic Forum's COVID Alliance for Social Entrepreneurs, a founding member of a German faith-based investment club, a mentor for Google Launchpad and Founders Institute as well as a lecturer for Lean Startup at TU Munich, University RheinMain and Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.

Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus is the father of both Social Business and Microcredit, the founder of Grameen Bank, and more than 50 other companies in Bangladesh. For his constant innovation and enterprise, the Fortune Magazine named Professor Yunus in March 2012 as “one of the greatest entrepreneurs of our time.”

In 2006, Professor Yunus and Grameen Bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. He is the recipient of 61 honorary degrees from universities across 24 countries. He has received 136 awards from 33 countries including state honours from 10 countries. He is one of only seven individuals to have received the Nobel Peace Prize, the United States Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the United States Congressional Gold Medal.

He has appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, Newsweek, and Forbes Magazine.

Mary Robinson is Adjunct Professor for Climate Justice in Trinity College Dublin and Chair of The Elders.  She served as President of Ireland from 1990-1997 and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights from 1997-2002. She is a member of the Club of Madrid and the recipient of numerous honours and awards including the Presidential Medal of Freedom from the President of the United States Barack Obama. Between 2013 and 2016 Mary served as the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy in three roles; first for the Great Lakes region of Africa, then on Climate Change leading up to the Paris Agreement and in 2016 as his Special Envoy on El Niño and Climate. Her Foundation, the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice, established in 2010, came to a planned end in April 2019.

A former President of the International Commission of Jurists and former chair of the Council of Women World Leaders she was President and founder of Realizing Rights: The Ethical Globalization Initiative from 2002-2010 and served as Honorary President of Oxfam International from 2002-2012. She was Chancellor of the University of Dublin from 1998 to 2019.

Mary Robinson serves as Patron of the International Science Council and Patron of the Board of the Institute of Human Rights and Business, is an Ambassador for The B Team, in addition to being a board member of several organisations including the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and the Aurora Foundation. Recently she became joint Honorary President of the Africa Europe Foundation. Mary’s memoir, ‘Everybody Matters’ was published in September 2012 and her book, ‘Climate Justice - Hope, Resilience and the Fight for a Sustainable Future’ was published in September 2018. She is also co-host of a podcast on the climate crisis, called ‘Mothers of Invention’.

He is the founder and team leader AYE AFRICA FOUNDATION- a youth empowerment social enterprise; with a mission to empower youths through modern solutions in areas of education, employability, entrepreneurship and policy advocacy. In addition, he is a public speaker and has been hosted as a panelist in a number local and international platforms speaking on topics ranging from business, economic development, African emancipation and politics. He holds a master’s degree in Institutional Management and Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He has previously worked in the international banking sector rising through the ranks for a period spanning 10 years. He is a One Young World ambassador having represented his country in Johannesburg- South Africa (2013) and Dublin-Ireland (2014). A leader in the social business movement, Saskia co-founded Yunus Social Business (YSB) together with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus.

Together with the World Economic Forum she co-initiated the COVID Alliance for social entrepreneurs. Saskia was appointed to the EU Commission’s expert group on social business and has advised on Ban Ki-Moon’s UN MDG Advocacy Group as well as Richard Branson’s B-team. She has lectured at several universities and events, including the World Economic Forum and the Clinton Global Initiative. Prior to YSB, Saskia was the Co-CEO of the Grameen Creative Lab and a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Munich and New York.

Dr. Jane Goodall DBE is an ethologist and environmentalist, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and a United Nations Messenger of Peace. In July 1960, at the age of 26, she travelled from England to what is now Tanzania and ventured into the little-known world of the wild chimpanzees living in Gombe.

Equipped with a notebook, binoculars and a fascination with wildlife, Dr. Goodall braved a realm of unknowns to give the world a remarkable window into humankind’s closest living relatives. Through more than 60 years of ground-breaking work, she has not only shown us the urgent need to protect chimpanzees from extinction; she has also redefined species conservation to include the needs of local people and the environment. 

Today there are 25 Jane Goodall Institutes working to support JGI’s core programmes including TACARE a community conservation programme, two sanctuaries for orphan chimpanzees and Roots & Shoots, JGI’s environmental and humanitarian programme empowering young people of all ages to become involved in hands-on projects for their community, animals and the environment in more than 65 countries.

Wubetu Shimelash is a social entrepreneur, a conscious film maker, an enthusiastic public speaker, and a passionate humanitarian.

He is the Co-founder & CEO of Simien Eco Trek (www.simienecotrek.com), a company that provides convenient, efficient, and unique tour services in Ethiopia for global tourists while empowering local communities. Phyllis Ng’etich „PHY“ is a Kenyan singer who started her career as the winner of the talent show Maisha SuperStar. Her debut album “Phylosophy” achieved international fame, several award nominees and international performances followed. In 2019, PHY partnered with NYADO to produce the music film „Mission to Earth“, which is an anthem for those who don’t want to leave Earth behind but regenerate and sustain it. She has spoken about it at the UN SDG Action Campaign in Bonn. Now starting her life in a new role as both a mother and a musician, she is a role model for a young, modern and independent generation of East African women.

Professor Ranga Zinyemba is the Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of Zimbabwe, a position he has held since January 2013. He has previously served as Lecturer, Chairman of Department, Dean of Student Affairs and Registrar at the University of Zimbabwe as well as Visiting Professor at various universities in Africa, Canada and the USA.

Prof Zinyemba is also an Organizational Development (OD) Consultant and Capacity Building Specialist who has worked with many organizations in a variety of sectors (private, public, NGO, United Nations Agencies, World Bank, Embassies, etc.) in various countries that include Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa, Ethiopia, Botswana, Lesotho, Angola, Swaziland, Mozambique, Namibia, Thailand and Afghanistan on a variety of OD assignments.

Dr. Douglas Munzvengi, is a Researcher, Social Entrepreneur, Co – founder and Director of the Catholic University of Zimbabwe – Yunus Social Business Centre. The CUZ – YSBC inaugurated as the 1st African Yunus Social Business Centre, with the Catholic University becoming the first University in Africa to adopt the Social Business and Microfinance concepts into its learning and community engagements programs.

Douglas earned a PhD (Management & Innovation) from the Da Vinci Institute, South Africa with a research focus on the socio – economic challenges of the developing economies. He obtained a Master’s degree – Business Administration (Banking & Finance) from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom; Bachelor’s degree Philosophy and Theology – Catholic University of Zimbabwe. Douglas is also a Registered Public Accountant, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom, among other professional accounting and banking qualifications.

Dr.Munzvengi worked extensively at senior levels in consultancy, private public enterprise, development finance and financial institutions culminating with Country Head Finance for Stanbic Finance Zimbabwe Limited. He is also a founder of a Non – Governmental Organisation and a Microfinance entity in Zimbabwe.

Paul Makaya is a serial entrepreneur of note and a passionate agent for community development.

He is the founder and CEO of Bergast House, a leading business branding and digital design agency with offices in Zimbabwe and Rwanda. Bergast House helps purpose-driven African businesses build more meaningful relationships with customers and helps them sell more of their products and services.

In his drive to change the state of his community, Paul was selected to be the Vice Curator of the World Economic Forums’ Global Shapers Harare Hub. Lakshmi Viswanathan is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Yunus Social Business Funds (YSB). Before joining YSB, she led a project to design a social impact fund in Sub Saharan Africa for a global Agri-input group. She has gained corporate experience at Sodexo SA as Vice President, Strategy and Head of Operational Excellence, based in Paris, followed by an entrepreneurial stint in India. She has worked several years as a strategy consultant, at McKinsey and as an independent advisor. Lakshmi has extensive international development and impact investing experience having worked in Sub Saharan Africa.

Ziwa Hillington, is a business development professional. For about 10 years he has worked directly with national and international expert teams as well as marginalised communities, to implement business development and social impact objectives at both the Non-government organisations and social businesses. He is currently the Managing Director at Green Bio Energy, a social business innovating on clean energy solutions that mitigate deforestation, climate change, and poverty.

Philemon Mbale is a trained broadcast journalist with over 16 years of professional experience at home and abroad. He also holds a BSc degree in Geography with additional concentration in Geographic Information System. Dr. Aya Nakitanda is an Olympian, 10-time national champion and multiple record holder in swimming, who competed for Uganda internationally for 10 years. She has since served in various leadership roles particularly in the areas of antidoping, female athlete health and athlete career support with the NOC, WADA and IOC. Professionally, Aya is a medical doctor and global health practitioner currently pursuing a doctorate in reproductive pharmacoepidemiology.

Together with Kady Kanoute, a Malian African champion and Olympian in basketball, she has set up the Pan-African Sports Foundation, a movement that aims to advance solidarity and development in Africa through sport.

Emmanuel Sebata, Uganda, IOC Young Leader

Emmanuel studied Sports Economy and Industry at Beijing Sport University, and worked as a Graduate Fellow in the Department of Sport Science, Kyambogo University. He has a unique interest in research on Olympics, sport tourism, Event Heritage, Culture and sustainability. He is committed to using sport education to impact change. Emmanuel was selected as one of the 25 IOC Young Leaders for the 2021-2024 programme. He will be working on developing a social business in and around sport.

His love and passion for the use of sport for social development led him to partake in the IOC Young Leaders and Commonwealth Youth Sport for Development and Peace Networks. Kishwar Imdad is currently performing responsibility as Managing Director of Grameen Health Care Services Ltd. In addition, he is also working as Chief Executive Officer of Samajik Health Science Institute and Research Center Ltd.

Mr. Imdad obtained his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Institute of Business Administration (IBA) under Dhaka university in 1995, with Major in Marketing. He also attained Master in Management (M. Com) from Dhaka University and post graduate certification in Business Marketing Analysis from George Brown College, Toronto, Canada. He brings more than 25 years of corporate experience both local and international market environment including 11 years in Hospital operations and healthcare management.

His career track includes managing operations, customer relationship management (CRM), sales administration, market research and business development. Kishwar worked for multinational companies like Nestle, Itochu Corporation, Apollo Hospitals etc. Kishwar Imdad is a business professional, management consultant and corporate trainer. Yoan Noguier is the Co-founder and Director of the Yunus Sports Hub. Formerly Procurement Manager for Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Yoan met Prof Yunus at the beginning of 2017 while advocating about the potential social outcome of sporting events. After a first successful collaboration resulting in the signature of an agreement with Paris 2024, the Yunus Sports Hub was created. Yoan grew up in the south of France, speaks 4 languages and played rugby at the french federal level. Yunus Sports Hub is the global social business network creating local solutions in and through sport.

Christina is the co-founder of Yunus Environment Hub. She serves as co-chair of GIZ’s PREVENT Waste Alliance and is a Responsible Leader of the BMW Foundation World Responsible Leaders network. In 2016, she co-founded “Circular Economy Rhein Main” and “The Plastic Lab”, a creative laboratory to keep plastics out of nature.  In 2019, she co-founded “Colombia Circular”. She is an Advisory Board member of Grameen Creative Lab. She worked as an assistant to the Executive Director of Yunus Centre in Bangladesh with training in micro-finance. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science & International Economics from Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg.

Sohel Ahmed (Managing Director, Grameen Shakti) looks after the overall activities of the company that includes from policy to operational aspects. Grameen Shakti (GS) is one of the leading social business in the world, founded by Nobel laureate Prof. Mohammad Yunus, with an aim of improving “Access to Energy”. Sohel has more than a decade of experience of working in the field of Renewable Energy, have expertise of modeling and managing large development projects, along with monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of the same.

Sohel is also spearheading “Consultancy & Knowledge Practice” cell in GS, which was established to institutionalize the experience and expertise acquired over the years. This cell is responsible to conceive and implement different social projects and social businesses. Sohel has been working as a member of the High-Level Dialogue Technical Committee on “Energy Access” of UN.

Tam is YEH’s Venture Building Manager on the Zero Plastic Waste City project in Vietnam. For 14 years, she has been working in the business, education and philanthropic sectors holding positions such as Account Manager, export & processing zone & mobile app start-up, Country Manager, Deputy CEO & Project Manager – Australian, French & British INGOs.

Tam holds a Bachelor’s degree in British Literature & Linguistics and currently studies to complete her Master’s degree in English Pedagogy. She also has experience in copywriter, press & media, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, PYP, construction, leadership, and people with special needs.

Yididiya Damtew is a social entrepreneur who believes in creating positive change in the world by designing businesses that provide sustainable and creative solutions to modern-day needs. She started her entrepreneurial journey 2 years ago with the establishment of Sheba socks, which aimed to exhibit heritage and inspire sustainable living through an everyday essential. A year later, she founded Aklill by integrating more innovative ideas and products such as bamboo-based rugs, blankets, and cushions. Yididiya aims to promote culture and support sustainability with products thoughtfully design and made from environmentally friendly and renewable materials such as bamboo. She aims for Aklill to create jobs for unemployed youth and women in Ethiopia.

Tapiwa is driven by the prospect of contributing to the creation of better and more functional entrepreneurial ecosystems within Africa. He is a dedicated development practitioner with professional research and consulting experience spanning over ten countries across Africa. Prior to joining the Impact Hub team in March 2017, Tapiwa had been working as a consultant on two DFID-funded programs in Tanzania and Zimbabwe. These programs were focused primarily on public-private partnerships as well as accountability. These experiences form the basis of Tapiwa’s expertise in strategy formulation and partnership development. His work involved the facilitation of relationships between government and private sector actors, as well as coordination of research projects across East Africa. In his role within the Impact Hub Network he acts as a focal point for partnership and business development among Africa based Impact Hubs. Through Tapiwa’s experience with the network he has developed extensive expertise in addressing the capacity building requirements of entrepreneurship support organizations within and outside of Africa, as well as expertise in the needs of the Small and Growing Businesses which they serve. Shazeeb M Khairul Islam is an Obama Scholar at Columbia University in the City of New York and the founder of YY Ventures, a social business company created in partnership with Yunus Centre that supports early-stage social businesses that are driving change. Before founding YY Ventures, Shazeeb led the establishment of Bangladesh’s first independent social business incubator, YY Goshti, which has backed 50+ social entrepreneurs since 2016 who have impacted the lives of more than 100,000 people. Previously, Shazeeb was the Founding Country Director of YGAP in Bangladesh, an innovative international development non-profit that supports local entrepreneurs with local solutions, and Country Advisor at Give2Asia, U.S.-based non-profit funding vetted community-based organizations that are addressing the most pressing issues at the local level.

Maria Mumoki is the cofounder and the Chief Product Officer at Powwater where she leads the product development of a quality-first and transparent water marketplace.

Over the past 6 years her career in tech has led her to work with amazing communities, most recently in SafeBoda, a ride hailing app where she got to experience the impact of technology in our societies as SafeBoda expanded into Kenya and Nigeria. Maria is now on a mission to support the efforts of using technology to solve one of the world's most pressing problems and to empower Africa to actualize the accessibility to clean drinking water.

 Moin Chowdhury pursued his MBA from Cass Business School, City University, London. Post MBA, he worked as a Principal Consultant for Frost & Sullivan, in its London office.

Moin was also appointed as the Director of Finance for the Maxwell Stamp Plc- UK and worked for Department for International Development (DFID) projects. In addition to this, Moin has managed two more DFID funded projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh. In those projects, his work capacity allowed him the scope to manage all administrative and financial activities.

Moin joined Grameen Kalyan in November 2018. It has been a tremendously interesting journey so far! He believes in the principles of “Equal Health Care for All” and embraces this as a charter in the everyday work. He shares a common philosophy with the Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus of making a difference to somebody's life and helping them find their voice.

Segun is a social entrepreneur and international development researcher with over 9 years of experience working on youth development, healthcare, and education projects in West Africa. This includes the U.S. Department of States’ 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, Associate Fellow of the United Kingdom Royal Commonwealth Society, and one of African Youths Award Top 5 Leaders of the year 2018. Received special recognition from the U.S Consular General to Nigeria-John F. Bray in 2018. 2019 Obama Foundation Scholar and Clinton Global Initiative Scholar. He is a 2020 Chicago Booth Tarrson Fellow and the Winner of the 10th John Edwardson Social New Venture Challenge organized by Chicago Booth Business School and Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation. He graduated with honours from the University of Chicago with a Master's in international development and policy.

Tazin is on a mission to build a world inspired by the culture of innovation, one which nurtures limitless opportunities for all. A practitioner of Human Centered Design for almost 20 years, Tazin spent 10 years at Microsoft as a Senior Design Strategist where he focused on bridging the gap between technology, users, and engineers, and helped develop innovative products and services.

Tazin is the founder of Spreeha, a non-profit that designs creative solutions to some of the toughest social issues of our times. He has also co-founded multiple startups such as AmarLab, neofarmers, Spider Digital, Cholo Shobai, and Druto Sheba.

Tazin also works with global brands in consulting and advisory roles on topics related to human-centered design, UX/CX, leadership, organizational strategy, entrepreneurship, non-profit management, public health, etc.

Ashir is an Associate Professor in the Department of Advanced Information Technology at Kyushu University, Japan, and the Director of the Global Communications Centre in Grameen Communications, Bangladesh. His research aims to produce and promote Information and Communications Technology services for the unreached communities in the world. He developed a joint collaboration between Grameen and Kyushu University and produced numerous international projects: GramWeb (a village information platform); passbook (an electronic gadget for unreached community); $300 portable clinic and IGPF (Income Generation Project for Farmers using ICT). Inside Kyushu University, he developed a team of multi-disciplinary researchers working on these issues, leading to the establishment of a social business research center at Kyushu.

Olga is a Reader and lead researcher on Microfinance at Glasgow Caledonian University’s Yunus Centre for Social Business & Health. Her research focuses primarily on financial inclusion, microfinance, health and wellbeing. Olga is particularly interested in how income is linked to health and wellbeing, and how financial exclusion and financial management strategies mediate this association in both advanced and developing contexts. Her research has been funded by organisations such as the Chief Scientist Office (CSO) of the Scottish Government’s Health Directorates, the EU Commission Horizon 2020 programme, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, and the British Council and has been published in several leading international journals. Cam Donaldson holds the Yunus Chair at Glasgow Caledonian University, where he is Pro Vice-Chancellor Research and, from 2010-16, was the inaugural director of GCU’s Yunus Centre for Social Business & Health. As Pro Vice-Chancellor, Cam led GCU to become the first university to frame its research strategy around the Sustainable Development Goals. A health economist, Cam previously held the Health Foundation Chair at Newcastle University, the Svare Chair at the University of Calgary, and a professorship at the University of Aberdeen. Abdul Hai Khan, practitioner of microfinance and social business joined Grameen Trust (GT) as the Managing Director on January 1, 2017.
Before joining GT, Mr. Khan worked as the Deputy General Manager of Grameen Bank and served as the Head of Training and Special Program Department. He had the opportunity to work with Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus in Grameen Bank for more than 35 years.

Mr. Khan has a wide range of experiences on GT’s worldwide replication programs following Grameen Bank Approach (GBA). Yanniz Valadez Cortés is an industrial designer, graduated from Universidad de Monterrey, certified in Innovation and Design Thinking by The School of Design of Monterrey. She is the Founder and Director of the social business IDASE "I Design as a Social Entrepreneur"  that conducts a program of experiential learning for young students of low-income schools through design and peace education workshops to strengthen the sense of ownership with the students to eradicate school dropouts. Mary Kiguru is the EFAC Country Director, providing the overall leadership of the organization in Kenya. Mary has served as Director of Quality Assurance at Mount Kenya University and Africa Nazarene University, was the lead for the International Center for Business Processes Outsourcing at Kenya Methodist University. She has designed learning and leadership development programs and as a founding trustee of EFAC, has designed the Education-to-Employment program. Nurjahan Begum, currently working as Advisor to Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, has an outstanding career with Grameen since inception of the Grameen Bank in 1976. She was one of the earliest associates of Professor Yunus during the establishment of Grameen Bank. She served as Principal of Grameen Bank Central Training Institute, General Manager, Training & Special Program and Deputy Managing Director of the bank. She became Acting Managing Director of Grameen Bank soon after the bank’s founder Professor Yunus left the bank in 2011.

Ms. Nurjahan worked as Managing Director of Grameen Shakti – the largest off-grid solar energy company in the world. She also worked as Managing Director of Grameen Shikkha from 1997, the year Shikkha was established, to end of December 2016. She is serving as Chairperson of Grameen Distribution Ltd. and director of some Grameen companies like Grameen Trust, Grameen Kalyan, Grameen Agricultural Foundation, Grameen Knitwear Ltd., and Grameen Fisheries & Livestock Foundation. 2011 Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah Roberta Gbowee is a Liberian Peace Activist, Trained Social Worker and Women’s Rights Advocate. She is the Founder and current President of the Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa (GPFA). She also currently serves as the Executive Director of the Women, Peace and Security Program at Columbia University’s Earth Institute in New York, USA. She is the Co-Founder and former Executive Director of the Women Peace and Security Network Africa (WIPSEN-A) and a Founding Member and former Liberia Coordinator of Women in Peacebuilding Network (WIPNET).

Madam Gbowee currently serves as a Member of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Advocate and alumina for the United Nations (UN) and UN High Level Advisory Board on Mediation.

She is a Member of the World Refugee Council (WRC), African Women Leaders Network for Reproductive Health and Family Planning, International Honorary Committee of the Global Biosphere Institute, Aurora Prize Selection Committee and the Hilton Humanitarian Prize Jury.

Marie-Noëlle Koyara, born December 14, 1955 in Bouar, is a Central African politician. She is an agronomist graduated from the Institute of Agronomic and Forest Technology of Mbaïki. From 1993 to 1996, she was Minister of Agriculture and Rural Promotion then Minister of Women's Promotion, in charge of social actions.

From September 1996, she was representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, first in Cape Verde, until February 2001, then in Burkina Faso, and after July 2007 in Cote d’Ivoire.

In June 2013, she was Minister in charge of Rural Development. She was then Minister of Defense between January and October 2015. And then from this date to 2016, Minister in charge of Sustainable Development.

Since 2017, she is Minister of Defense and Army Reconstruction and  FAO peace ambassador in Central African Republic for The FAO Alliance of Nobel Prizes for Peace and Food Security

Dr Restrepo has studies on Economics, Master in Economics and Doctorate in Business. He has been in charge of research centers and units in public and private entities. He has served as a consultant to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on economic policy matters; the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in programs for the development of regional clusters; and the Colombian government in the design of productivity and competitiveness policies, and strategies to attract foreign direct investment. He has been a teacher for more than 20 years in undergraduate and graduate programs. He has published books on industrial economics, business development and social policy. His articles have been published in peer-reviewed academic journals, included in systems such as Web of Science and Scopus. He has been invited as a lecturer at academic events in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and the United States. He currently serves as Director of Research at the School of Management of Universidad Externado de Colombia and as leader of the Research group on Business Environment.

Juliette Fevre is currently studying journalism in London while she works remotly as a "social business" project manager for the Chaire ETI of IAE Paris Sorbonne Business School. While she was studying law in France, she often flew to Madagascar to work wih local entrepreneurs supported by microcredits. On the ground, she discovered the difference microloans can make to offer work opportunities to people and help them reaching their potential. She then joined the Chaire ETI and worked for a year on a book taking a worldwide picture of social business.

Dr. Chien-wen Shen is a Professor of Business Administration at National Central University (NCU). He also serves as the Director of the Yunus Social Business Center, Director of the Center for Media and Social Impact, and Division Director of the University Social Responsibility Office at NCU. He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University. His research interests include business analytics, information management, decision science, social business, and impact management. Dr. Shen has published over 100 research papers and presented numerous lectures, speeches, and workshops. He has also been participated with more than 40 funded projects supported by Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Ministry of Education, National Science Foundation, and other organizations. When he is out of class, Dr. Jagongo mentors early career scholars and innovators, an effort that has seen many of his mentees take up further studies in leading Universities abroad as others become entrepreneurs.

Biography

Dr.  Perez A. Onono is a senior Lecturer of Economics at the Department of Applied Economics and currently the Dean of the School of Economics at Kenyatta University.  She holds a PhD in Economics and Master of Arts (Economics) both from Kenyatta University.  Perez has extensive research work in agricultural development and policy analysis, public sector economics, international trade and finance. She has published 20 papers in various peer reviewed journals.

Teacher-researcher at the Department of Geography and Regional Planning at the University of Abomey-Calavi, Mr. Euloge OGOUWALE, born January 1, 1975, father of two children (01 girl and 01 boy), is a Full Professor of the Universities of CAMES since 2016.

Euloge OGOUWALE is:
Vice-Coordinator of the Geography and Environmental Management training at the Multidisciplinary Doctoral School at UAC;
Associate and missionary teachers in several African universities;
Coordinator of the Volunteer Service from 2013 to 2016;
Director of the Autonomous Center for Volunteering, Entrepreneurship, Research and Innovation (CVERI) since December 2016.
Coordinator, since 2016, of Bachelor / Master training in Social and Economic Entrepreneurship and Management of SMIs / SMEs.
Specialist in entrepreneurial pedagogy and initiator of the teaching model Deprogramming, Reprogramming and connection to Entrepreneurial Intelligence and innovation.

Over the past 8 years, he has trained 2,000 Volunteers for UAC and turned over 20,000 students into new-type citizens willing to give their best for the best of their country base on social Entrepreneurship. It organizes with the Volunteer Community Leaders training in Leadership and Entrepreneurship for the benefit of young people and women in the Communes of Benin. He continues these educational innovations with these student Volunteers-Entrepreneurs, whom he loves very much.

Biography

Prof. Mwangi Peter Wanderi has over 30 years of research, teaching and community engagement both in mainstream physical education & sports and in entrepreneurship and youth empowerment; served as Acting Vice-Chancellor at Mount Kenya University between November 2019 and April 2020; Currently coordinating several local and international, inter-disciplinary and multi-institutional projects at Mount Kenya University; Also, serves as Graduate Enterprise Academy, Overseer, which is a graduates and youth job creation forum at Mount Kenya University. His most outstanding grant projects he is involved in are the Leuphana University (Germany) based Students Training for Entrepreneurial Promotion (STEP), the Erasmus + sponsored African Higher Education Leadership in Advancing Inclusive Innovation for Development (AHEAD) and the DAAD sponsored Collaboration of Entrepreneurial Universities (CEPU). He was instrumental in the establishment of Chandaria Business Innovation and Incubation Center at Kenyatta University where he served prior to joining Mount Kenya University.
